Nippon Kawaii did not actually start as Nippon Kawaii. In 2016, Lan launched a webshop under the name Blitzy's Arts & Crafts, selling handmade items such as fleece hats. As the passion for kawaii grew, the focus shifted from making to importing, and in 2019 Blitzy's was renamed Nippon Kawaii.
